BEIRUT, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait has several unique contributions to the development of the Lebanese health sector including the allocation of USD 850, 000 to help establish the Mount Lebanon Hospital.

Member of the hospital's Board of Trustees Hadi Abulhassan told KUNA that Kuwait has always supported the betterment of the Lebanese health sector, adding that the establishment of the hospital was an important step to provide much needed healthcare for the people living in the town and the region adjacent to the hospital.

Kuwait has never hesitated to provide assistance to those in need in Lebanon, said Abulhassan, affirming that the hospital offers medical services to tens of thousands of residents living in the Mount Lebnan region.
He stressed that the Kuwaiti contributions have been felt by many Lebanese across Lebanon which in turn reflected the strong brotherly ties linking the two Arab states.

In separate statements, patients and residents of the towns near the hospital thanked the Kuwaiti leadership and people for contributing to the establishment of the medical facility.

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) has contributed to the establishment of 13 medical facilities throughout the country. (end) mah.gta KUNA 101013 Oct 13NNNN
